Senator Cowdery, Chair, moved and asked unanimous consent for the adoption of the Transportation Senate Committee Substitute offered on page 3069. Without objection, SENATE CS FOR CS FOR HOUSE BILL NO. 397(TRA) was adopted and read the second time. Senator Wilken offered Amendment No. 1 : Page 2, line 7, following "regulation": Insert "if the person is under 16 years of age and the person (A) is accompanied by and under immediate supervision of a driver licensed under this chapter; or (B) has completed a snowtrac safety course offered by the Department of Public Safety" Page 2, following line 11: Insert a new bill section to read: "* Sec. 2. AS 28.15.021(5) is repealed July 1, 2007." Renumber the following bill section accordingly. 2002-05-11 Senate Journal Page 3372 Senator Wilken moved for the adoption of Amendment No. 1. Objections were heard. Senator Ellis called the Senate. The call was satisfied. The question being: "Shall Amendment No. 1 be adopted?" Senator Leman moved and asked unanimous consent that the bill be considered engrossed, advanced to third reading and placed on final passage. Senator Ellis objected.
